An Elder Thing from H.P. Lovecraft's novella 'At The Mountains Of Madness'.

There's a lot of fantastic versions of this creature from a lot of talented artists. And the description is very explicit in the book, but I took some artistic license while trying to keep the spirit of the original.

Awesome! I find it hard to really imagine what they look like in the books without thinking of just a barrel/starfish hybrid, but this is a really great take on them! They look terrifying but also deeply interesting! =)
